Guiding principles for the preparation of the scorecard

Adoption of the generic scorecard ellaborates on the development of a scorecard specifically for the CA profession to make a difference to the profession and the country in general.
The CA sector can be stratified into three main constituencies namely, Big four firms, Medium sized firms and Small firms. The Codes take cognisance of the fact that it would be difficult to apply the same indicators to the evaluation of B-BBEE across the board to large, medium, small and micro enterprises. Element Weightings covers the seven elements that form the pillars to B-BBEE and which provide a common base for measuring the impact of policy objectives of B-BBEE across different entities and sectors within the economy.
In addition to the Weighting points assigned to each Element, the Codes of Good Practice have attached Weighting points to different indicators within each Element and these Indicator Weightings are to make the B-BBEE scorecards for different enterprises and sectors easier to understand and interpret.
